A Polish Coffee Shop that Jolts with Color
Architecture & Interiors
Never mind the coffee, this Polish cafe has found a way to give its customers a jolt of color that’s sure to keep them wide awake no matter how caffeinated their drinks. Tasked with their client’s wish for an “instantly recognizable and easy to spot” interior, Polish designers Anna Kobylka and Olga Sietnicka collaborated on Cafein Bistro for a showy “retro” modern extravaganza of Mid Century-inspired color—pastels and fluorescents, electric greens and blues, vivid reds and oranges. We’d advise patrons to leave their laptops at home, though. A dose of visual energy this potent demands some old fashioned face-to-face communion.
