The brainchild of German artist Tobias Rehberger, Bar Oppenheimer, which opened in May to coincide with the Frieze Art Fair, is an exact replica of Rehberger’s favorite Frankfurt bar of the same name, with one exceptional feature. This Bar Oppenheimer’s interior is clad in ‘dazzle camouflage,’ a black and white pattern used by World War I soldiers to confuse their enemies. Rehberger plans to open another Bar Oppenheimer elsewhere, but no word on whether he’ll be giving it the same dazzling treatment.OPPENHEIMER_NYScreen Shot 2013-07-11 at 10.53.23 PM
