New Year, Fresh Color Start: Go Bold or Subtle

Architecture & Interiors

Feeling like your home needs a little je ne said quoi? Mainly in the form of some fresh color on those walls? Good for you: wall paint is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to add some personality and color to your home, but don’t be paralyzed by which color you want to choose (’cause remember, it’s just paint! You can paint over it if you don’t like it). And don’t feel like you have to go with a bold color to BE bold: as evidenced by the two very different rooms above, yes, a bright color certainly infuses a space with some serious style, but a soft, subtle even pastel color can be just as arresting when paired with rich colors, art and furnishings.

What do you think? Will you be adding a fresh new color to your space this new year?

I like the new paint for the New Year, it’s a nice idea! The Bright color of the walls gave warmth and looks very refreshing. Thanks for this; I should try it for some time!
