We Like What They Do: Foureyes Furniture

Categories: Modern Decor + Objects

Helmed by the plucky and witty C. Sevin (like the number “7”) Salomone (pronounced like alimony), Foureyes Furniture over in Los Angeles, California is making some pretty rockin’ furniture that’s made by hand, to your specifications, when you order it, with high-quality materials.  And we just so happen to dig his style. Some words from the craftsman Sevin himself:

“My ultimate goal would be to be able to offer unique, interesting pieces to people of all means. Even now, with very low volume production, I’m able to offer two coffee tables which retail for $325 each. I know that is not as cheap as going to Ikea…but I believe that it is inexpensive enough where anybody who really wants it, and decides that furniture is important to them, can afford it.”

On the name of his furniture company: “I picked the name “Foureyes” because it seemed fun, inviting and memorable (kinda like me)…and on a more literal level, because I wear glasses I suppose. I didn’t want to go by my name, in any form. I was worried I would come off as too serious. A lot of the designers I read about seem to take themselves too seriously, in my opinion. That’s not to say I don’t take my work seriously, because I definitely do. But still, at the end of the day, I remind myself that I’m building furniture, not curing cancer.”

Check out all of his handmade style and personality on his website and his Facebook website.

  1. This man is really serious about approaching everything correctly. He continually finds ways to better his product.
So that is a given. What is not a given with every designer is putting their personality and unique honesty into the work.
The furniture is super colorful and special because of this.
Many good things to come from this company.

  2. Sleek and modern-looking and yet with the workmanship and quality of eras past. This is a young man and company to keep on eye on, for sure!

  3. A simple piece, with simple natural materials and shapes. Love it! A design full of personality.. Nice work!
