Stefan Buchberger created this innovative fridge for Electrolux’s Design Lab 2008. Consisting of a base station and up to 4 seperate stackable modules, each section is removable and customizable with various skins, a bottle opener and a whiteboard.

That is just genius. Not that I’ve ever had the problem of sharing with room mates, but still I can see its genius.
Also, its about time the fridge and common place items like that got a make over. I want one.
This is nice, but I think it needs to be bigger to accommodate more food stuff. Otherwise, I would rather just get a mini fridge.

are these stackable? didnt look into it to much but that would be sweet.
Sweet but unreal.This guy obviously doesn’t have a family :)) I just can see my kids and hubby going through every section each time they want something.Wouldn’t be very energy and time efficient.
I really like the idea, but I agree that they are too small, realistically they should be able to hold enough food for a week, and tall enough to store milk, 2 liter bottles, etc. Also fruits and veggies always take up a lot of room. I also like the idea of a locking system so that they could be used in dorms and other housing situations that have multiple people sharing a space.
Great! Not for family, of course, but excellent for room mates.
I don’t seem to understand the benefit of this. So if I want to eat something, I need to open 4 fridges? No, thank you.
It also wastes much space with separations of fridges.
And I suppose environmentally, this fridge consumes more energy.
Kljuka, this is not intended for a single persons use, as clearly stated above it is for ROOMMATES. So one person to a section.
It’s for ROOM MATES or a DORM….NOT a family. Reading comprehension, try it!
