Serving as a sunscreen, this brise soleil is made of stoneware ceramic tiles set at such angles to each other that the ones facing the sun are coated with brilliant hues. As explained in a press release, “the sides that are more exposed to sun have been glazed in two ranges of three different colors. The west-facing sides are in a range of three “spring” greens, whilst the east facing sides are in a combination of three earthy “autumn” colors.”
This is a primary school at Barcelona, Spain built by Mestura Arquitectos.
