DIY End Table

Modern Decor

I recently acquired a fairly ugly $3.00 end table from a garage sale. I loved the shape, but it wasn't the prettiest chicken in the coop (see first image).  All you need to transform something plain-jane into something wonderful like this is two colors of spray paint and masking tape! All I did was spray paint the whole thing black, wait for it to dry, place strips of masking tape on top in whatever pattern you wish, spray paint the top again another color, wait for it to dry, and peel of the tape! Took me no more than 10 minutes (not including dry-time). Really, the easiest thing, and I am loving the stripes!

I recently built a side table for my desk. 2 sheets of pine, 2 sets of metro shelves and an hour or so of work. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out and was thinking about making a matching desk.

    Inspired by Eddie Van Halen!
    Someone had to say it.
