I cracked up when I watched the video on this website about designer JooYoun Paek’s “Polite Umbrella” that can squish down so that when you walk past another umbrella toting pedestrian, you don’t get into a tussle. By pulling down on chords that come out of the handle, you can shrink one side, or all sides.
