BKLYN Design: ICFFs Pretty Stepchild

This past weekend I attended BKLYN Designs, an up-and-coming design conference and expo in Brooklyn with an interior and craft focus. This event is coming a week before ICFF, and is trying to become the front bookend to the gargantuan ICFF events that will start this Saturday. The work had a modern yet crafty, woodsy, one-of-a-kind feel to it that really set the mood to casual and less business-like. Beside a number of great design panels (most of which come from the design blog world, I might add), the expo had a very funky craft area with great names from the likes of Lotta Jonsdotter among others.
