In Palm Springs, Searching for ‘That Pink Door’
Architecture & Interiors
When interior designer Moises Esquenazi set out to refurbish a 1968 Palm Springs fixer-upper a decade ago, he probably wasn’t counting on turning his new home’s front door into its star attraction. Yet, and though we doubt Esquenazi is complaining much, his Mid-Century jewel’s front door has been consistently hogging the limelight with its graphically vertical, powdery pink good looks, ever since. One particularly beguiled design enthusiast—Los Angeles-based blogger Kelly Lanza of DIY Studio—made it a personal mission to track down the house with the pink door while on vacation in Palm Springs—and, as her sun-drenched photos attest, ‘that pink door’ is, indeed, quite something.
