Seletti’s Recycling Initiative
Product designers are finding a kind of poetic justice in turning the ephemeral (i.e., disposable and wasteful) into the permanent (i.e., novel and collectable). Italian brand Saletti has created an entire line of offerings—called Estetico Quotidiano—around this notion, with a range of ceramic facsimiles of disposable kitchen items, from milk cartons to paper plates. This Sugar Can, designed by Alessandro Zambelli, is part of their Gold Edition of metal lookalikes, remade in fine porcelain.
