OTTO’s Retro Winds

Modern Decor

fanIn a sea of hard metal and shiny finishes, OTTO’s refined matte exterior is a welcome change. Artist Carlo Borer’s elegant fan design for Swiss brand Stadler Form has the timeless visual integrity of the best examples of Mid-Century Modern design—a period it strongly evokes, but doesn’t imitate. Adjustable in height, with 3 speeds, and “whisper quiet,” OTTO’s black steel construction is hugged by a perfect circle of African sapele wood, lending it a burnished warmth—even as it performs its cooling function admirably.

This would look awesome in a room full of white. What a nice punctuation mark against a contemporary backdrop :-)

Wouldn’t it, though? White and wood always wins ;)
