Orla Kiely’s Remodeled London House

Architecture & Interiors

This warm and lovely London home belongs to the Irish textile and product designer Orla Kiely, whose fondness for classic Modernism is reflected in the abundance of wood surfaces, low-profile furnishings, and lively mixture of colors and prints. Not surprisingly, the infusion of 20th Century details in the refurbished Victorian house offers the ideal context for Kiely’s own Modernist-influenced patterns, including her signature Stem motif, which appears repeatedly in various iterations—proving there’s no such thing as too much of a good thing.
