A Camera With a New Focus

Modern Decor

At last, hope for all those blurry photos you wish you’d been more, well, focused on. Lytro is the first camera to use “light-field” technology to allow the user to decide after the photo has been taken where the focal point should be—and to use the square touchscreen to do it. Says the Lytro team, “It’s the first consumer camera that records the entire light field – all the rays of light traveling in every direction through a scene – instead of a flat 2D image.”

This camera is a fun toy but nothing more. They should be a lot more useful for the price point.

Amazing! I love the idea behind this camera, but I have to agree that the price seems too high. Fortunately for me, it’s not available in Vietnam (where I’m based), so I have plenty of time to wait for the price to come down ;-)
