Toy Story

Kids & Baby

sabana_1These adorably imperfect dolls are patterned after drawings made by first, second and third grade children in Sri Lanka, part of a social design initiative called Me and My Doll, spearheaded by German designer Alexa Alexa Lixfeld. The dolls are hand made by women employed by The Selyn Socioeconomic Development Foundation, a Sri Lankan organization which aims to help women of all castes and religion contribute to the socioeconomic viability of their families. The dolls are made of hand-woven 100% cotton fabrics, dyed with nontoxic dyes, and are created under eco friendly production and fair trade standards.
