In preparation for their move to a new location next year, the Whitney Museum of American Art asked the Dutch design studio Experimental Jetset to give them a brand new visual identity. The purely typographic, linear logo was unveiled today, along with a suite of materials and an animated film showing the various applications of the “responsive W” that will now be the identifying mark of the museum. Both the Whitney and Experimental Jetset have devoted plenty of real estate on their sites to this collaboration, and it’s well worth sauntering over to both sites for a look.
