Art Deco jewelry was distinguished by its geometric settings, and these 1920’s-inspired arrow bobby pins from Los Angeles jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer continue the tradition. Meyer, who happens to be married to the actor Tobey McGuire, was taken with the lavish Tiffany jewelry gracing the Jazz Age set of The Great Gatsby, the costume-lavish film remake which stars her husband. “The arrow shape was often featured in that period, and I wanted to bring it back with a contemporary spin,” she explains, of this diamond, turquoise and ruby trio rolling out in June at Barney’s New York. But be warned: contemporary art like this doesn’t come cheaply.
