A pat on the back if you know what a tamper or dibber is. We liked the look of this one even before we knew what it was, which is why we’ll probably be reading Modern Farmer, the latest food journal aimed at modern urbanites who claim to be ‘foodies’ without having a clue about where their food comes from. This stylish brass-tipped tamper dibber allows the gardener to make quick, even holes for planting seeds, and then tamp down the soil with the other end. We like the combination of wood, leather and brass, and the obvious care with which it was crafted.
