Architecture & Interiors
The brother-and-sister team of Dan and Meredith Dundin, founders of the New York City-based novelties shop, 2of2 Goods, say that their favorite materials are, among other things, reclaimed wood, iridescent acrylic, bamboo skewers, and little metal toggle switches. And once you see their hand crafted miniature houses, you’ll know why. Straddling the line between architectural models and toy houses, these mixed-media constructions, less than 6 inches in size, will surely appeal to modernists who like a touch of whimsy, but prefer it with a clean, geometric bent. Their company was founded, in part, as a tribute to their mother, “who taught us that the wonder of childhood can stay with you in life if you let your imagination pave the way.” Lucky for us, they learned so well.
