Think Thin
Modern Decor
Italian brand Kristalia will be debuting a new version of their 2011 Thin-K table at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, better known as the Milan Furniture Fair, in a few weeks, and we get a sneak peek, thanks to these exquisite photos Kristalia just sent over to us.
Thin-K was something of a technological marvel in 2011, boasting an impossibly slender aluminum thickness (or thinness, more accurately) of just 6 millimeters. The new version, also designed by Luciano Bertoncini, has two features that distinguish it from the original: the anodized aluminum top has been replaced with a wood veneer top (which somehow retains its 6 millimeter girth); and, more incredibly, new dimensions now stretch the length of Thin-K to more than 9 1/2 feet.
Skinny, you might say, no matter which way you look at it.

This table looks really spectacular. I think there is a current design trend of making things thinner. Look @ iphone/ipads, that carries over into designs like this.
Keep blogging. I’m becoming a huge fan of 2modern!
