Red Delicious

Modern Decor

We wish we knew a bit more about this vintage (1950’s) French metal lamp from the archives of the Copenhagen gallery, The Apartment, but we can’t help but admire both its graceful shape and the grace with which it’s aged. The angular neck and distinctive shade echo the iconoclastic work of Serge Mouille, whose hand crafted lighting designs, we think, deserve a place alongside more exalted Mid-Century names like Noguchi and Nelson. In any case, Mouille or not, our taste for vintage runs along the lines of this little beauty, still resplendent in its lustrous red enamel.
