“I have created a space where people become a little uncertain as to whether they have stepped into a work or into part of the museum,” says the Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson of his permanent rooftop installation at ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum in Århus, Denmark.
And that’s a pretty good description of Your Rainbow Panorama, a circular walkway made entirely of colored glass, which was unveiled nearly two years ago, but continues to be one of the museum’s great attractions. And, it seems, a mecca for Instagram addicts, who need not feel pressured to apply any of the app’s mood-enhancing filters to the surrounding scenery. Who needs a filter when you’re inside the biggest, baddest filter of them all?
