I really enjoy the 2modern. The mix of cool finds, guides, suggestions, history suits me really well. In today’s busy world, I appreciate curation.
I read via an RSS feed as I’m not a big social media fan so I’d encourage you to not to have exclusive content on other sites as I’ll not bother going to look at it. Pinterest is a possible exception because of the visual nature of design.
Regardless thanks for your hard work,

Andrew! Thanks for weighing in. Do you mean to say that you’d like whatever we post on things like FB, Twitter and the like to be on the blog so you can be sure that you catch it in your feed? I can hear that. I like to go to one place to see everything, too. I can promise you that we do much of that already — but will definitely be more cognizant of that in the future.

Thanks for coming back to me. Yes, if you post something on Facebook, Twitter et al, I’d like to see it in the feed. I’m flexible on whether you reproduce the whole content in the feed or just give a summary with a “click here for more” which then takes me to Facebook.
        Regards, Andrew

Love the site! Always something that is inspirational in some way. Love the DIY links, as I am not affluent enough to shop with you …yet! Great comentary, from your kind self I believe, and love that you include a good mix of design excellence from numerous sources. I don’t use social media at all and love the blog which I look at every day. Keep up the great work, and just because I’m biased. featuring some Australian designers wouldn’t go astray! Be blessed mightily in your endeavours. Your mate in Australia, Jonathon

Jonathan! Thank you so much for leaving a comment all the way from Australia. Really appreciate the kind words. I’d be happy to feature some more Australian designers! Can you point me in the right direction with a recommendation or two and I’ll go from there?!

Not a problem. Great Australian fabric design can be seen at Duckcloth…under the Australian Design link. New architecture, look at anything coming out of the University of Newcastle, or RMIT in Melbourne, they both seem to produce amazing architects. Furniture design, plus other bits and bods, Darcy Clarke, every product isn’t a winner, but they have a no nonsense approach that is appreciated. Lighting, and a few other pieces, try Yellow Goat Design. I believe all their (those listed above) work is at the very least sourced from Australian designers, but I’m not 100% certain. Check them out and see what you think. Laugh with snorting, move with gentle purpose and make generosity a lifestyle. Your mate in Australia, Jonathon.

I visit your blog because you are my “cool meter.” I know what I like, and still create what I create and buy what I buy, but sometimes I am just off the curve of cool – and you are always cool, so I have the necessary data to keep up the standard. (I am 56 and work at home…seldom visit a city, and only get into retail places -aside from the grocery- every few months. I NEED a cool meter!)
My only need is that when you post your favorite pins, they aren’t linked to the pinplaces they came from. Very often they are uber-nice and I want to go look, and follow the link, etc. Could that be corrected?
Thank you very much for blogging. I know it must be difficult to keep at it consistantly. I forgot to post on my own facebook page!

Roxie — I can try! Sometimes those pins point to tumblrs…they aren’t the original places themselves. But I’ll try to do a combo in the future so you can find it! Really appreciate the great feedback — glad we can be your cool meter! I’ll try posting the actual places themselves next pin post I do!
