Much like many crafts of the olden days, this older art form has seen a resurgence in recent years, with folks seeing these colorful painted barn quilt blocks dotting buildings along the country landscapes of states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Iowa, to only name a few. Austin sign painter and artist Joe Swec recently tackled a small barn quilt project in Londonderry, Vermont, and posted a few photos on his Facebook business page. We’re completely charmed, won over and are planning to now buy a house in the country somewhere just so we’ve got a nice open wall to paint our own barn quilt on.
Are you charmed by these ancient-turned-trendy again barn quilts? Or are they a little too traditional for your blood?
