From the manufacturer: “A contemporary chair, with a name inspired by an ancestral sound: Mem, which means, “water” in the ancient Egyptian language. Made of injection-moulded polypropylene reinforced with glass, it is highly resistant and elegant, with its skilfully designed corners and curves. The chair also has two holes that make it stackable while retaining its entirely all-embracing shape: a valuable advantage also in contract or outdoor environments.” More information at Kristalia.
What do you think of Christophe Pillet’s Mem Chair? Yay or nay?

I’ll vote first…hot!
HOT! LOVE IT!
Thanks for your opinion!
Very hot. I love it. I love all kristalia furniture!
Thanks for weighing in!
It is 10 years too late. Injection molded plastic furniture is no longer cool. Unless the plastic is recycled from old bottles (like the Emeco/Coca-Cola chair), or mixed with recycled wood (like the IKEA PS2012 chair).
Reinforcing a non-bio-degradable material with another non-bio-degradable material seems to be quite contrary to the current trend.
Designwise, IMO, it doesn’t offer anything new.
All very good points! It’s not a crazy wild design, it’s true, so you’re right about it not really offering much newness to the furniture world.
