We can’t believe it’s been ten years since Philippe Starck’s beautiful, iconic, shocking, wonderful, strange, awesome and beautiful Louis Ghost Chair was designed for Kartell, and it’s still as powerful as it was when it was first debuted! Since the French designer came up with it in 2002, the Ghost Chair has sold over 1.5 million chairs, meaning it’s one of the most wildly successful and sellable original pieces of furniture design ever. Made of single-injected polycarbonate plastic, it’s one of the most recognizable transparent pieces of furniture out there today. And frankly? We adore it. (And will probably continue adoring it for another 10 + years). We love the video Kartell put out to commemorate the anniversary.
We have to ask…where were you when you first spotted the Ghost Chair?!

Are you kidding me?! Ten years?!! Crap, time flies…
That’s what I thought! I couldn’t believe it had been so long! Time really does fly.
It’s my dream to have six of these chairs… to go with the handmade wooden table we will have shortly! Heavenly!
Oh that would be dreamy! You should check back to 2Modern! We have sells on Kartell from time to time. Maybe you could buy them a few at a time if you can’t afford them all at once?
Sounds wonderful. Collecting them a bit at a time sounds great. <3
