DIY Wood Stain Furniture Art

Categories: DIY + How To

Holy Smokes! We don’t usually say phrases like “holy smokes,” but can you blame us when you realized the amazing petal-inspired furniture top you’re looking at in the above photos was made using wood stain? Wow. Just wow. Not only is this something that can be done affordably and to a piece of furniture that’s on its last leg (you should just see the “before” of this piece!) but we bet it could be done pretty easily.

We spotted it on the blog “Sawdust and Embryos,” and Beth and Nick give you a step-by-step tutorial on how to transform a piece of wood furniture with a wood stain design. They’ve chosen a sort of flower petal-meets-succulent design that we think is rather modern looking, but you could do any sort of pattern! What about something geometric?! Check out the full how-to post on the blog Sawdust and Embryos.

What do you think about this DIY project? Beautiful? Not your style? You gonna try it yourself?
