Diana Kohne’s Industrial Infrastructure
Art & Design
Earlier this week we posted about Rebecca Rothfus’ cell tower portrait paintings. Rebecca mixed cell towers — proof of technology on the landscape — with geometric additions. Well Diana Kohne is also obsessed with the world’s infrastructure, and she paints her interpretations of our world’s industrial infrastructure, machines she finds in the landscape, on pieces of wood.
The color palettes are soft and surprising and there’s nothing abstract about her graphic pieces. We think it’s interesting that she chooses wood instead of a canvas, it’s almost as surprising as coming across one of these machines yourself in the the wilds of nature, don’t you think? More on her website.
What do you think about Diana’s depictions of industrial infrastructure?
