Weekend House by David Jay Weiner

Categories: Architecture + Interiors

Hooray for tiny modern homes! Well, okay, if the title of this home is any indication, then this is someone’s weekend home and that means they probably have a bigger, even more gorgeous home somewhere else. But, what this architectural design by David Jay Weiner, Architects proves is that you don’t need a ton of space to create a gorgeous modern home.

The shape of this structure is really stunning; it surprises with something in between an organic and geometric shape. The extrusion of the front door area is unexpected yet believable. The simple deck almost seems to hold the home up like a platter.

The interior isn’t anything extraordinary, but it is simple, straightforward and bright because of all of the natural light pouring in.

Could that scenery be any more beautiful? This is located in Stephentown, New York.

We like how at different angles the structure seems to take on different aspects of the same personality.

What do you think about this weekend house?! What’s your favorite element to this home?
