What’s with this trend of posting design-y things that are kind of cool but also kind of creepy we’ve got going on this week? No comment. Just came across designer Maarten De Ceulaer’s “Mutation” furniture series. Kind of looks like he stuck a bunch of plastic furniture into a giant microwave, or also maybe these are the remnants of plastic furniture after a nuclear bombing. Obviously we’ve seen neither of those because our description is probably way off. Kind of reminds us of a recent artist we posted about, though: Dorota Buczkowska’s creepy/cool sculpture and photography. More on Maarten De Ceulaer’s website.

Is it art or is it usable furniture? If its furniture, where can it be bought? If its art, I hope to see more of it soon!
Interesting although I am not sure functional!
You don’t think they would be comfortable or usable?!
It looks so very comfy! Thats why I want three! Oh well, since we don’t know if its ACTUAL furniture, I guess I’ll keep wondering what its like to snooze on!
It is definitely the most important question about it…what would it feel like?!
