Textured Wood Pallet Accent Wall

DIY + How To

Did you think we were done with shipping pallet project posts? Nice try! We’ll never stop. This one might be our favorite yet: Using the wood from pallets to create a modern, wooden accent wall! This wall was created for a little boy’s nursery, so the parents found untreated (no chemicals!) wooden shipping pallets. After taking them apart, cleaning them, sanding them, taking all the nails and stuff out, they then sorted by width (don’t make the same mistake and try by color) and then nailed away! Okay, definitely probably isn’t that easy. In fact it looks amazingly and mind-bogglingly difficult and time-consuming. So, if you’re feeling really crafty and filled with the DIY spirit, here’s where you can find the step-by-step instructions: Bower Power. BUT! Remember, if you’re not that DIY or just don’t want to take the time, one of our newest designers at 2Modern has just the remedy: scrapwood wallpaper! Find Piet Hein Eek on 2Modern.

How would you create this look? The DIY way or the fabulous modern wallpaper way? Let us know!

That’s a good question. I believe in the original blog post they just called a companies that receive a lot of shipments and found one that used untreated wood pallets.
