Interiors: Country home of Richard McGeehan

Categories: Architecture + Interiors

Country’s way in right now. Like, way in. Fueled by the slow food movement, the handmade nation and folks who are just looking to simplify their lives, we’re seeing country style pop up all over the place. We’re all gravitating toward that kind of look because we think it really emanates a wholesome, peaceful, relaxed feeling. Of course, just because your home’s a little country doesn’t mean it can’t be a little rock ‘n’ roll…errr…we mean modern.

This home recently featured in ELLE DECOR magazine is a perfect example. From an email we received about this great space: ELLE DECOR March has a beautiful spread of the Wisconsin country home of NYC decorator Richard McGeehan. Known for collaborating on the vacation home of Robert Duffy, president of Marc Jacobs, McGeehan wasn’t afraid to flee the city and design a quaint getaway in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Fondly called “Hog House,” his cottage is isolated, modern, and fresh. Find out more online at ELLE DECOR.

  1. I think I could live in this blog… I have yet to see something that I wouldn’t want in my home!

I just love the wood paneling!
