We usually try and feature super new or unheard of or youngish folks in the modern art portion of our blog, mostly because they tend to be the ones making and break art trends. But then sometimes you’ll come across work that you don’t immediately recognize but you do; and you don’t recognize as being done by someone in the biz a long time and then realize that everything new is old and everything old is new again.
What? Dale Frank’s swirly, colorful, bold abstract paintings are making us talk all googly and weird. They’re just having this inspiring effect on us, we suppose. Swirly they are. And great color palette mixing, so much so that you’re really pulled in by his color choices; really drawn into these nonsensical worlds he creates on canvas. As spotted on But Does it Float.
What do you think about Dale Frank’s work?
