We didn’t black out today (mostly because we don’t really technically know how to do that) and we’ll still have a few posts today, but we do want to show some Internet solidarity for a black out happening today in strike against SOPA and PIPA. If you’re wondering what those letters mean, we highly recommend you check out more information about it (Wikipedia, which has blacked out, has a great page on it and The Oatmeal has a funny but poignant explanation of it.) If you care at all about freedom on the Internet, do something about it.

Lord knows Internet piracy is a bummer. You can’t imagine how many websites I come across a week that lift our blog posts — words, images and everything — and use them on theirs as if it were theirs; no links or credit at all. It sucks,  but that doesn’t mean we should enact legislature that would severe impede Internet freedom. Our two cents, anyway. We don’t really want to start a political war here, but if you have opinions and you’d like to share, we’re happy to become a reasonable/non-yelling forum for a grown-up discussion over this.
