Confession: we’ve always found mobiles to be a bit childish. You know, like make us think of above a crib or in the corner of a kid’s room? But modern times mean modern mobiles and hardly a day goes by that we don’t see a mobile that gets our heart beating a little faster. Of course, knowing us, you’ll know that not only do we like the deal a DIY project can provide, but also for the personal touch it can bring.
We actually had seen this DIY project for Finnish Himmeli mobiles on Remodelista last year and just didn’t love it as much as we do right now. Maybe it was the winter weather. Maybe it was that they’re originally considered Christmas decor. Maybe we just needed to view it under the heady hope of the new year. Whatever the case, we’re in love, probably gonna make one tonight and definitely love looking at the pictures for inspiration. More here.
