BOOK WEEK: Interiors Inspiration & Materials

Modern Decor

Interiors: Inspiration & Materials
By: Hilde Pauwels and Barbara Bossier (Floors)
Vivays Publishing 2011

There’s a wide world of building materials available to those seeking an upgrade to their interior environment, and this sassy book aims to put it all in one volume you can peruse in order to find just the right material to fit your personality, lifestyle and tastes.

Broken down by large chapters like “Floors,” Walls,” “Kitchens,” “Lighting” and more, those chapters are further broken down so you can really focus in on just what you’re looking for or use this book as a reference for years to come. And we mean this book breaks it down. Read specifics on everything from mosaic floors to textile wallpaper to toilet trends to energy-saving bulbs.

Though there’s always something new showing up on the interior design scene and though this book does touch on plenty of trends, there’s still enough basic information in here that it won’t be obsolete for awhile. And we love how they provide plus and minus points to every material so that you may really figure out for yourself whether it’s right for you and your home.

Filled with plenty of photos as well as text, this 430-page book is great for someone who has a lot of projects to get underway or who just likes seeing what’s out there in the world of interior materials.

Remember: comment on this post (leave a way we can get in touch with you) for a chance to win a copy of this book! Find all the info and rules of book week here
