After Taste: Expanded Practice in Interior Design
By: Kent Kleinman, Joanna Merwood-Salisbury, Lois Weinthal
Princeton Architectural Press 2011

Earlier today we posted about a lovely little book defining and explaining ten basic principles of interior design, perfect for folks who might like to delve a little deeper into the world of interior design and really become masters at reinventing their environments. This book, “After Taste: Expanded Practice in Interior Design” goes even DEEPER into this beloved facet of modern life and design. With 256 pages and over 70 color illustrations, you’ll not only be delving deeper, you’ll be enjoying it, too.

From Princeton Architectural Press’ website: “What is taste? This well-curated collection documents new theories and emerging critical practices in the field of interior design. It investigates taste, a concept central to the formation of the discipline in the eighteenth century that was repudiated by architects in the early twentieth century, but which continues to play an important role in interior design today. Essays by historians and critics are complemented by interviews with practitioners on the margins of normative practice and portfolios of the work of contemporary designers.”
