You know the drill…we love modern design, don’t love the kind of dumb-looking holiday decor that often far outweighs the good-looking stuff. Now, everyone’s definition of dumb and awesome is different, but we’re on the hunt for holiday decor that we love, think would look good in a modern home and heck, might even be able to be used year round! We’ve found it in this DIY project from Curbly.
Though these aren’t neccessarily designed to be holiday decor items, we think they make smashing fall elements to add to a home (but subtle-like — not like leaves glued onto something-like). This is a project to make DIY ombre glowing hurricane glasses, as spotted on Curbly. We’re not gonna give the secret away to creating this…you’ll have to click ahead to Curbly for that…but we’ll tell you it’s super easy. Like, cool, clever easy. Do it for your modern home today! These are fantastic! I will have to check the link out. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing this nice idea. It’s so easy to make modern good-looking holiday decor with these guides.
These lamps are really cool. They’re similar to those far eastern lamps that you see floating around at dinner parties (hot air from candles helps them rise). These lamps would look amazing at candle light dinner settings.
Oh you’re right! They reminded me of something but I couldn’t think of what. That’s exactly right. And they WOULD look great at a dinner party setting.
There are awesome!
I love orange but here it’s the fade which is lovely!
