Wallpaper can be a wonderful edition to a space. It can add color, pattern, depth and more to a corner of a space or a whole room, adding a level of sophistication and interest into a home that paint alone often cannot do. But, not everyone has the luxury of owning their own home; many folks are renters and must deal with rules like not installing permanent wallpaper onto walls. Here in lies a perfect DIY solution: homemade wallpaper!
Spotted on Apartment Therapy, this homemade wallpaper is much easier than it sounds, utilizing store-bought contact paper as a base for stamping your own design. Along with this being semi-permanent (in other words removeable when you move), we like that you would end up with a totally unique design for your home! I think homemade wallpaper would be a great addition to a nursery or kids room. If your kids are old enough, they can even help with the design, making them feel like it’s really “their” room.
