Even with all the modernly designed homes out there in the world, there still seems to be a lack of modernly designed mailboxes. Why put all that modern effort into your home only to have the compositional aesthetic ruined by a hideous mailbox? We got an email from a normal guy who got so sick of not being able to find a modern mailbox he made his own, and it ain’t half bad! It’s designed by Héctor Hecdog Pérez and inspired by the architecture of Richard Neutra and other modernist designers. We like! We’re not sure if they’re going to carry more colors in the future, but we hope so. We could see this looking good in a number of hues! Check them out on their website or on facebook.

hmmm …this looks vaguely familiar to the mailboxes manufactured in New Zealand by http://www.boxdesign.co.nz who have done so for the past 10+ years. Plagiarism anyone? Check out they’re urban range and you’ll see what I mean. They also provide web sales and have a distributor in the U.S. http://www.boxdesign.com
