Interiors: Dark, Gray and Dramatic

Categories: Architecture + Interiors

If summer is the realm of light, airy, cheerfully-colored interiors, then no doubt fall and winter is the time for dark, rich, jewel-toned and dramatic spaces, don’t you think? Of course, a little boldness and drama can be appropriate for any time, but when it’s cold outside a darker space just seems to hug you a little bit more. We’re finding so much inspiration from this apartment. A variety of dark, intense grays cover the walls, while surprising pops of jewel-toned color help move the space along, like blues on cabinets, a hot pink coffee table, mustard yellow on textiles and more. Of course, this space isn’t just sumptuous because of color; this space was also deftly decorated and is filled with glamorous furnishings sure to amp up the drama and luxury. This sort of boldness in an interior can be daunting and intimidating, but if you’ve been wanting to incorporate a little dark drama in your interior space, you can definitely take some ideas from the pages of this space! As spotted on DigsDigs. By Atelier Abigail Ahern.

What do you think about this space? Perfectly dark and dramatic? Or way to dark and depressing? Let us know!
