When it comes to different genres within the photography field, no one can argue that while capturing adorable photos of pets, animals and babies isn’t always easy, it totally trumps taking pictures of just about anything else. That doesn’t mean every pet and baby photographer is created equally, though; it’s not easy capturing the elusive souls of small creatures, but artist Sharon Montrose does it SO WELL.
If you’ve ever bought a bag of Iams dog food or spotted an ad for dog or cat products, you may have seen Sharon’s work before. She no doubt gets so many jobs because her portrayls of pups and cats feature vibrant, loving photos where you can really feel the energy coming from them. We’re also pretty enamored with another series of photos she did, this time of animals other than just cats and dogs. We’re not sure how she roped all the animals into coming into a studio and shooting them, but it’s pretty amazing to see. Who doesn’t love animals?! And you can totally order prints of her work…work that would look pretty great in a modern home, don’t you think?! You can see a lot of examples of her work on walls here. Plan to spend some time on her site.
Which animal/pet is your favorite that Sharon shot?
