Eco Inspiration: Mission Zero House

Categories: Architecture + Interiors, Sustainability

What do America’s oldest Net Zero Energy residence, Michigan’s first Net Zero Energy house and America’s first Net Zero home rehabilitation in a historic district all have in common? Trick question! They’re all the same very inspiring house by a very inspiring couple dedicated to the idea of net zero existence.

Net zero in home terms is the idea of creating a home that is completely sustainable by itself. In other words, it makes its own energy, collects its own water, etc. It doesn’t depend on the electrical grid. It barely has an environmental impact. And as evidenced by this home — it doesn’t have to be newly built to do so! Check out this Ann Arbor, Michigan home and get inspired!
