Modern is…understanding a client and site’s needs enough to think outside of the box when it comes to a home’s shape, like in the Pentagonal House by Kazuya Morita Architecture Studio, in Tsushima, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Because of the site restrictions, building a rectangular or square house would have meant a lot of wasted space. So, they built a pentagon-shaped house, and the results are modern, stunning and efficient. More photos here.
