Loving that a big part of the “what is modern” equation is an understanding that we have to be better with making our structures healthier. That’s why we’re happy to showcase the news that the Tahoe Basin has its first gold-certified LEED home! It was built by Bret Hackett, a local builder, and in the article “What’s Green About That?” he discuss the ten key elements that makes a house green. Among the ten are things like passive solar heating, improved indoor air quality, radiant floor heating, daylighting, local materials and more. You can read more about this great project here!
