This restaurant is pretty huge, intense, involved and unusual, but modern design is all about stretching the limits of your imagination — not to mention materials. This is Nobu Dubai by the Rockwell Group. It’s really pretty stunning inside; it almost looks more like a digital rendering of someone’s good-looking but impossible to create design, but it’s real! Taken from their website:
“To anchor Nobu at Atlantis The Palm in Dubai in its location, Rockwell Group surrounded the restaurant walls and ceilings with large hand-woven curvilinear abaca panels to evoke an environment submerged under an ocean wave, and added accents of traditional Middle Eastern vernacular architecture such as hand-wrought iron columns of flowers, leaves and buds.” More here.
