Edge of Belgravia, based in London, has recently launched its Ceramic Lime Chef’s knives series. The idea is to fuse bold design and supreme sharpness. The knives were designed by contemporary London designer Christian Bird.
The Ceramic Lime Chef’s Knife boasts a stylish lime green handle alluding to the innovative and bold design of the ceramic series. Whether chopping, dicing, mincing or slicing, the versatile Lime Chef’s Knife is a cutting edge tool for every kitchen. Durable, adaptable and ergonomically designed, this multi faceted knife is the key to superb creativity in the kitchen. The ceramic blade stays sharp without sharpening, allowing for constant precision and speed, while the soft touch rubber handle ensures a comfortably controlled grip for maximum accuracy. Each knife forms part of a limited edition series of 999 pieces.
The ceramic blade is made of zirconium oxide which is hardened under 300 tons of pressure and 1500 C. Zirconium is almost as hard as diamond which makes the blade sharp for longer than steel knives.
