Something we consider to be in the spirit of real, true modernism (not just something parading around as modern) is a home with clean lines, sure, but also a warm, inviting, welcoming interior. This Lockyer House in Bardon, Australia has it in spades. We’re not sure how the architect did it, but the warm-wood ceiling doesn’t at all feel heavy; instead, it seems to uplift the eye and open up the whole space. Really lovely. By Shaun Lockyer Architects.
