Modern Decor

Dean Heckler‘s up to it again. This time working on a design for the sorely neglected field of TV stands and media centers (so few attractive ones exist, and we’re not ashamed to say we at 2Modern think we may sell among the only ones! Check out this link for 2Modern’s Media Room offerings.) We think Heckler might be on to something with these sweet designs he’s got going on for the OneLessTV.

Like his OneLessDrop project, Heckler’s turning to the Internet as a possible funding option before he invests his own money, click on over to CKIE to see if you wanna invest some of yours in this neat TV design solution!

Love these! Reading about your OneLessDrop design is what made my husband choose Kickstarter for his product. I didn’t know about CKIE til just now. Curious about why that venue to launch? Good luck to you.

      Hi Alysa,
      Many thanks.
      Kickstarter is great.
Yankodesign.com has also been good to me in the past and they asked me months ago to be one of the few projects available in their new CKIE.com crowd-funding platform at launch. Also, CKIE.com has more flexible rules regarding rewards (they allow coupons and discounts). This type of reward makes sense when the product being crowd-funded has a large price tag, like OneLessTV.
Fun fact: OneLessTV, not OneLessDrop, was the product I initially wanted to do with Kickstarter. However, Kickstarter did not allow a discount code at hecklerdesign.com as a backer reward. As a result, I switched to launching OneLessDrop via Kickstarter.
These reasons, and a few others led me to give CKIE a shot.
The more crowd-funding systems, the better. I say.
