Disegna un cucchiaio

The Italian gastronomic magazine Il Cucchiaio d’Argento is celebrating its 60th anniversary and invited 5 designers to come up with a design for a spoon (that’s what cucchiaio means!).

These were the 5 “competitors”:

Aldo Bakker

Laura Agnoletto

Carlo Contin

Inga Sempé

The winner, announced a couple of months ago, was Inga Sempé: the French designer entered the competition with her thin and round spoon.

I really like when simple things, such as a spoon, become the centre of attention of big names. Design should be everywhere indeed!!!
